Stephen Hill, of Eastern Avenue, Southend, now has better vision than before he developed cataracts thanks to a procedure pioneered by Westcliff eye surgeon Rajesh Aggarwal.

Well known local pianist and singer, Iris Bradbeer, who lives in Rayleigh, can now hold her head high without peering at the notes, thanks to her newly repaired vision.
Iris, 61, had worn glasses since the age of 13 to correct short-sightedness, and also for close vision in recent years. Fed up with wearing specs and contact lenses when she performed, Iris decided to take action to regain the vision of her youth.

Susan Neale aged 65 was initially terrified when her vision started to deteriorate because of cataracts. Susan's surgeon, Mr Rajesh Aggarwal, replaced the cloudy lens (cataract) with a new type of lens after which, susan had this to say, “It was amazing,” “Everything was so clear and bright, that’s the only way I can describe it.
“I couldn’t wait to have the other one done. It was absolutely amazing and I’ve had no trouble since, in fact I would say my eyesight is better and clearer now than it’s ever been. It was almost a miracle.

Mrs Wood was diagnosed with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) 16 years ago and as her vision deteriorated she relied on her husband to effectively act as her eyes.
But Mrs Wood's outlook is now much brighter thanks to the short operation on her right eye carried out by Rajesh Aggarwal at The Phoenix Hospital in Southend.
