Mr Aggarwal offers a wide range of ophthalmic services and specialises in Advanced Refractive Surgery for people who wish to be able to see well without wearing glasses and also for people with cataracts.
The ' one size fits all' approach to cataract surgery was, until relatively recently the only approach, as monofocals were the only approved technology available.
Patients were given monofocal implants and spectacles. In some cases this technology is highly appropriate, but should not be used as a 'general solution' when a broad range of lens types are now available.
Mr Aggarwal offers Advanced Refractive Cataract Surgery, which not only restores clarity of vision, but actually improves the quality too. Cataract patients in their 60's and 70's have likened their vision to that of a thirty year old.

At 6/6 vision Mr Aggarwal performs Wavefront-guided LASIK which not only induces fewer higher order aberrations but can also correct disorders that previously could not even be detected.
PreLex stands for PREsbyopic Lens EXchange, also called refractive or clear lens extraction / exchange.
It is most commonly performed in a person's 40's or 50's when vision has deteriorated due to the natural aging process, but before a cataract is evident or significantly impairs vision.
Mr Aggarwal received specialist training in the USA to carry out this procedure, from an eye surgeon who has multifocal lens implants in his own eyes.
