Tumours of the Eye
Tumours of the eye are very rare. They can sometimes cause visual disturbances but are often only found on routine eye inspections.
Tumours can occur within the eye, its surrounding tissue, the boney orbital surround and sinus's. They are often benign, but should always be checked by an ophthalmologist who may arrange for a CT or MRI scan to confirm the diagnosis.
In most cases the tumour can be surgically removed. If the tumour is found to be malignant additional courses of treatment may be given.
