Professor Aggarwal developed his expertise in cataract and refractive surgery through fellowships at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Flinders University, where he trained alongside internationally respected surgeons and refined advanced surgical techniques.

Rajesh became a Consultant Ophthalmologist in 1997, joining the ophthalmic team at Southend Hospital. He later served as Head of Department and was awarded a Professorship.

He was also among the first surgeons in the UK to adopt laser technology for vision correction and cataract surgery. Rajesh continues to travel internationally to learn and teach the latest surgical techniques, ensuring his expertise remains at the forefront of the field.
